Managing Personal Finance
Money makes the world go round-but how do we manage our money?
That was the question asked of our Year 8 students who are currently learning all about ‘Managing Personal Finance’ in their PSHCE lessons.
Harry Takhar from Barclays Lifeskills(Transformation Trust) delivered an inspiring workshop about how easy it is to lose track of your finances and spiral into debt. Learning to manage your money starts early to avoid getting into bad habits. Most of the students already have their own bank accounts but understanding the difference between debit, credit and savings accounts can sometimes become confusing. That is why the students were asked to reflect upon their current practice and start to make changes before it is too late!
