Three of our football teams have been in competition this week. Our Year 7 and Year 11 Boys teams were both in Small Schools Sefton Cup action and our Y8 and Year 9 Girls squad played friendly fixtures against Merchant Taylors for Girls.
Our Year 7 Boys beat Hawthrones 3-1 on Tuesday to progress to the semi-finals. A hat trick from Joe B-M sealed the win in a closely fought game. Our Year 11 team also joined them by beating Hillside 1-0 in another close encounter. Captain Jake A scored the decisive goal just before half time from the penalty spot.
Our Year 8/9 girls squad was rotated during 5 10-minute friendly fixtures against Merchant Taylors for girls. We won three of the games and lost 2 at the Liverpool County Schools FA venue in Thornton.
